Install Guides

These guides are intended for LEDGauges customers/HID kits only. Other kits may not be compatible or work the same as ours.

Our HID kits are made to be a simple install so anybody can do the job. While we recommend professional installations we cannot be responsible for any damage incurred during or after the install so please proceed carefully!

Most of these guides are done by our customers, if at any point you have questions/concerns please contact Nathan @ (352)238-6388 and he can help you through it.

Chevrolet Camaro HID Fog Light Install Guide

 

1. Raise the Vehicle so you can access the inspection panels for the foglight area's under the car.

There should be a few 10MM bolts to remove and then the plastic inspection panel will drop down.

2. Remove the old foglights and disconnect the wiring harness from them.

3. Choose a place to mount the HID Balast to the framerail, Try to pick somewhere where it will stay somewhat dry.

Everything is designed to be water proof, but the less water hitting them the better off you are.

4. Insert the new HID bulbs, careful not to touch the actual HID bulb.

5. Connect the two smaller weather pack connectors together from the Balast, to the bulb.



6. Connect the weather-pack connector to the actual balast.



7. Connect the two flat terminals to the original wiring harness on the car.

Black obviously goes with the black wire on the harness, on my 99 z28, the power was purple on the driverside.

You're all done, just make sure you test your lights before putting the inspection cover back up.
